Carr Workplaces To Open New Business Center in Chicago's Landmark Aon Center As Part of Continued National Expansion

Carr's Flexible Work Space Solutions Offer Growth Enterprises The Opportunity to Shed Long Term Obligations and Tie Up Less Capital

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 11, 2010 — Carr Workplaces, a provider of flexible alternative workplace solutions nationwide, will open its newest business center in downtown Chicago at the landmark Aon Center in early 2011. The 25,000 sq. ft. space on the 51st floor of the 83-story building will be Carr Workplaces' second location in Chicago and its 24th in the U.S. Carr's center will cater to independent professionals, entrepreneurs, and rapidly evolving growth enterprises.

One of Chicago's premier buildings, the Aon Center, owned by Atlanta-based Piedmont Office Realty Trust, is located at 200 East Randolph Street, and adjacent to Chicago's Millennium Park. The Carr Workplaces business center will include 70 offices and team rooms, 3 conference rooms equipped with state of the art AV equipment, and its signature Community Cafˇ space for dining, collaborating, and recharging. In addition, the center will feature dedicated touchdown space for clients of Carr Workplaces' popular virtual office programs, providing occasional office space for road warriors and home-based workers. The center features spectacular views of Lake Michigan and Millennium Park, in addition to a secure and reliable data and communications infrastructure.

Carr Workplaces provides fully equipped, furnished, staffed and technology-enabled office environments on highly flexible terms for professionals and small businesses. Growth enterprises and independent professionals utilize the company's "offices on demand" model to forego both the costly fixed investment in workplace infrastructure and the inflexibility of long term lease obligations.

"We are excited about deepening our commitment to Chicago," said Joe Wallace, chief executive officer of Carr Workplaces. "We believe in creating uplifting spaces where the exchange of ideas is a vital part of the experience. Great work environments are inspiring, and we hope to give small businesses and independent professionals in Chicago just such a place. We believe our model represents an intelligent and improved way for small businesses to work."

By using Carr Workplaces, businesses can access the office space market in a highly efficient manner and can constantly tailor their offices to meet their rapidly changing circumstances, allowing them to add space and shed space as frequently as they require.

"We help our clients stay focused on their business because we take care of the administrative and logistical matters that typically can be extraordinarily time consuming," said Wallace. "Companies appreciate that they can walk into our office and get right to work."

Phil Carr, senior vice president for development at Carr Workplaces, represented Carr in the lease negotiations. Jones Lang LaSalle is the exclusive leasing and managing agent of the Aon Center. Managing Director Steve Smith and Senior Vice President Mike Curran represented ownership in the transaction.
